काठमाडौं, २० माघ । नेपाली राष्ट्रिय क्रिकेट टोलीका प्रशिक्षक मोन्टी देशाईले आफ्नो करार अवधि सकिएपछि सबैलाई धन्यवाद दिंदै बिदा लिएका छन् ।
सामाजिक सञ्जालमा लामो स्टाट्स लेख्दै मोन्टीले भनेका छन्,’ प्रिय नेपाल, यो बिदाइ होइन, यो धन्यवाद हो।’
जनवरी १०, २०२३ मा नेपाल क्रिकेट संघ नेपाल (क्यान) सँगको अवसरलाई नेपाल क्रिकेटमा स्थायी प्रभाव पार्ने कथा बनाउने आशा राख्दै उत्साह र उद्देश्यका साथ अज्ञात यात्रामा पाइला चालेको उनले लेखेका छन्।
आफ्नो कार्यकालको दुई वर्ष अविस्मरणीय रहेको भन्दै उनले ऐतिहासिक उपलब्धिहरूले भरिएका क्षणहरुलाई पनि स्मरण पनि छन्।
टियु मैदानमा एसिया कप छनोट हुँदा फ्यानहरु रुख चढेर, छातामुनि उभिएर समर्थन गरेको पल र मूलपानीमा विश्वकप छनोट हुँदा दर्शकको भीडले दिएको उर्जा अविश्वसनीय रहेको पनि उनले उल्लेख गरेका छन्।
उनले यो यात्रामा आरोह अवरोह भएको पनि जिकिर गरेका छन्। क्यान व्यवस्थापन, छनोटकर्ता, खेलाडी, प्रशिक्षक, पदाधिकारी, स्कोरर, ग्राउन्डसम्यान, क्यामराम्यान, कमेन्टेटरहरू, र कप्तान रोहित पौडेलसँग सँगै सानो भूमिका दिन पाएकोमा आफू कृतज्ञ रहेको पनि उनले लेखेका छन्।
खेलाडीको लागि प्रशिक्षक मोन्टीले लेखेका छन,’ लाखौंको सपना बोकेर खेल्दा नम्र हुँदै, “वान बल ब्याटल” मानसिकताका साथ खेल्न र सधैं आफ्ना सीमाहरु बढाउँदै जान भनेका छन्। सम्बन्ध, एकता, र जिम्मेवारीमा आधारित “ह्याप्पी ड्रेसिङ रूम” को सिद्धान्त सधैं खेलाडीको बलियो पक्ष हुनेछ ।
सहायक स्टाफहरूको मिहिनेत अमूल्य रहेको भन्दै उनले धन्यवाद दिएका छन्। फ्यानहरूलाई अटुट समर्थन नेपाली क्रिकेटको सबैभन्दा बलियो पक्ष रहेको भन्दै नेपाली टोलीलाई निरन्तर विश्वास गरिरहन आग्रह गरेका छन्।
क्यान व्यवस्थापनलाई नेतृत्व गर्ने अवसर दिएकोमा धन्यवाद दिंदै आधार मजबुत भइसकेको भनेका छन्।
नेपाल मेरो दोस्रो घर बनेको छ भन्दै उनले नेपाली जनतालाई यहाँ क्रिकेट केबल खेल होइन। यो एउटा भावना हो, जसले सिंगो राष्ट्रलाई एक बनाउँछ भनेर लेखेका छन्।
आफ्नो स्टाट्सको अन्त्य उनले जय नेपाल लेखेर टुङ्गाएका छन्। क्यानले हिजो प्रेस विज्ञप्ती जारी गर्दे प्रशिक्षक मोन्टीको समझौता नविकरण नगर्ने जानकारी दिएको थियो।

On January 10, 2023, I embraced the opportunity with Cricket Association of Nepal, stepping into the unknown with excitement and purpose, hoping to build a story that would leave a lasting impact on Nepal cricket.
These two years have been unforgettable, filled with cherished moments and shared milestones. The Asia Cup qualification at TU Ground, where fans climbed trees and stood with umbrellas, and the World Cup qualification in Mulpani, where the crowd was electric, defined Nepal’s passion and resilience.
This journey had its highs and lows, and I’m grateful to have played a small role alongside CAN Management, selectors, players, coaches, officials, scorers, groundsmen, cameramen, commentators, and my captain, Rohit Paudel. Every individual contributed in their own way, and I deeply value the camaraderie we built.
To the Players:
You carry the dreams of millions. Stay grounded, embrace the One Ball Battle mindset, and keep pushing boundaries. The Happy Dressing Room philosophy built on relationships, openness, oneness, and accountability will always be your strength.
To the Support Staff:
Your relentless efforts behind the scenes have been invaluable. My demands were only to push us towards excellence. Thank you for standing by my side.

Your unwavering support has been our biggest strength. Keep believing in this team!
