Kathmandu, May 19 (RSS). Former Inspector General of Nepal Police, Khadgajeet Baral, passed away today at the age of 93. He died peacefully at his Maharajgunj-based private residence.
Baral who had served as the ninth chief of Nepal Police from 1972 to 1978 was also the ex-ambassador. Police Spokesperson Basant Bahadur Kunwar said Baral had significant contribution to the development of a system within the police organisation, its enhancement and progress.
Nepal Police officials remembered his role in the ration management for police workforce and in the establishment of police hospital and school. Issuing a press statement today, the Nepal Police headquarters termed him as a centenary man in the police institution. His last rites were performed today at the Pashupati Aryaghat.
